Seasonal Office Clerk

Job Description

Objective:  The Office Clerk is responsible for general administrative and clerical duties along with managing the day-to-day operations of the office, during the summer months (May-August).

Duties Include: 

  • Works with board members, coaches, umpires and players to ensure the league runs smoothly. This includes answering phones/e-mails, dealing with daily in-person queries and handling all administrative tasks as assigned by the league president.
  • Updates game schedules for all house league divisions. Liaison with the Town of Fort Erie to ensure that diamonds are booked and that they have the most up to date schedules.
  • Schedules umpires for all house league divisions. Responsible for tracking weekly umpire game times in order to complete their payroll with the Umpire-in-Chief.
  • Collects game sheets and maintains team standings throughout the season.
  • Manages equipment inventory.
  • Assists with any special events, tournaments and clinics that the association may decide to run throughout the season.
  • May perform other related as required by the league president.

Job Working Conditions:

  • Office environment; prolonged sitting and use of computer

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, administration would be an asset.
  • Must be proficient using the internet, e-mail and Microsoft Excel/Word.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal along with the ability to work independently, are a must.

Shift:

  • Monday to Thursday and Saturday morning
  • 23 hours per week
