We offer great amenities for our employees in our state-of-the-art production facility. The position requires day shifts which vary from 6 to 10 hours, Monday to Friday. Eligible candidates must possess the following attributes:
- Must be able to work with team members and be cross trained to multiple tasks
- Strict attention to detail and ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Quick learner, self-motivated, able to work independently and results orientated
- Previous experience in production or manufacturing (food specific is a preferred asset)
- Must be able to problem solve
- Ability to operate various production machinery
- Must be able comfortable with mathematics and conversions
- Must be able to do heavy manual labor and lifting (repetitive sorting, moving and stacking cartons of 25-60lbs)
- Must have a valid SIN
- Must be attentive to safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Forward thinker with excellent time management and prioritizing skill
- Pleasant work demeanor
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Daily production preparation and execution
- Handling and sorting raw meats and foods
- Portioning food product and being responsible for packaging line process
- Working on the formulation line weighing, dumping, measuring, mixing, and grinding food products (firm understanding of unit conversions skills required)
- Sorting, storing and freezing finished product and unused raw materials
- Recording inventory (counting, addition, multiplication skills required) and reporting to management
- Documentation throughout the day of safe food handling programs, production counts, various product and facility checks
- Safe operation of production machinery and equipment
- Completion of clean-up and sanitation duties and associated check list,
- Able to be trained on cleaning chemical usage (mixing according to required ratios)
- Accurate packing and preparation of customers’ orders
