Part-Time Sales Associate (1 Position)
Job Description
We are looking for someone to join our team in our tasting room. We are a small family run winery located within the Niagara Region. Previously a virtual run winery, we have now obtained a retail store located within the same facility as Calamus Estate Winery. We are the first winery to have 2 separate retail licenses on 1 property.
Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural environment while providing excellent customer service and sales. We are seeking an individual who will thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
Your Duties will include but are not limited to:
-Providing elevated customer experiences through educational tours and tastings
-Promoting the sale of all products, events and wine club
-Handling opening and closing procedures – including maintaining stock levels, merchandising, picking and packing online and curbside wine orders and maintaining a clean work environment.
-Accurate cash handling and operation of the POS system.
We are looking for team members who meet the following criteria:
-A passion for customer service
-Comfortable with public speaking to groups as well as engaging with guests one-on-one.
-Enthusiastic to learn and teach guests about all aspects of the wine making process, viticulture practices and the many unique styles of wine.
-Able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
-Able to multitask and use time efficiently.
-Able to lift 40lb cases of wine on a regular basis, stand for long periods of time and navigate stairs.
-Above the age of 18 and Smart Serve Certified.
-Access to personal transportation.
-Post-secondary studies in Hospitality/Tourism or Wine Business/Business considered an asset
-Flexible schedule, ability to work weekends required.
Job Type: 1 (one) Part-Time Position available average 12 hours/week, possibility for additional hours depending on COVID restrictions
Start Time: Early to late spring depending on COVID restrictions.
