Job Description

This employer will be attending our August 28, 2019 Job Fair. Sodexo is the Food service industry for Brock University.

Positions Available:

  • Evening and weekend supervisors
  • Gen Cafe

Evening and Weekend Supervisors

 

Coordinates and oversees the day to day activities of staff and assigns responsibility for specific work with clear direction, as directed by on site manager

Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity

 

• Provides training and development of staff

 

Responsible for activities to ensure opening, closing and daily procedures are completed

Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service and problem resolution

 

• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures

 

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and some holidays

WHMIS, 1st Aid, CPR , Safe Food Handler – an asset

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

• Comfortable doing a significant amount of walking

• Comfortable with standing for a period of time

 

 

Gen Cafe

• Experience in hospitality industry an asset, but willing to train the right candidate

 

High school education required

English – speaking, writing; an asset

WHMIS, 1st Aid, CPR , Safe Food Handler – an asset

• Report to work and be on time for your shift

• Follow all HACCP procedures and policies

• Clean as you go and maintain a safe work area at all times

• Perform additional tasks that are not part of your regular duties, when requested

• Follow all instructions given to you by any supervisor or manager

 

Complete and record pre-start up inspection forms

Maintain “HIGH MORALE” at all times by setting a positive example to all staff and customers. (TEAM PLAYER)

• Serve customers and ensure optimum customer service at all times

• Be positive and polite

• Ensure that all stock is rotated on a “first in first out” basis

 

Complete all cleaning tasks as assigned as per cleaning schedule

 

Ensure that equipment is used correctly and maintained in top sanitary conditions at all times

• Stock all dry goods in serving area

 

Keep all counters in service areas neat and tidy, ensuring proper dishes and utensils are available to customers

• Food preparation, cooking, pizza making, sandwich making
