Looking to find a different career path, or solidify the one you’re already on? I CAN-T.E.R. is the site of the Ministry Approved Agricultural Apprenticeship Horse Groom 600H Program. This is a 13 week (402 hour) theoretical and practical agricultural apprenticeship running Monday-Friday from 9:30 am-3:30pm.
This unique program offers a mix of in-class theory and hands-on application of skills on the farm to ensure that you are truly confident going into the horse industry. Topics include Horse History, Behaviour and Psychology; Horse Handling and Safety, Stable Management, Tack and Equipment, First Aid, Nutrition, Lunging Techniques, Grooming and so much more!
