Job Description

The City of Port Colborne is seeking an energetic and motivated professional with superior administrative, analytical, interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills who works well in a fast-paced environment and can help drive the corporation forward by supporting the Human Resources Department in achieving the goals and strategic direction set by Council.

 

Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for the administration of payroll, benefits, pension, recruitment, HRIS, training and labour relations in accordance with established policies, practices and legislation. You will have a customer service-oriented approach and provide tools, processes, and resources to ensure corporate and legislative compliance.

 

You are a payroll or human resources professional, preferably in a municipality with three years of progressive experience, with computer proficiency in Microsoft programs and HRIS systems.  You have a degree in Business Administration and/or related education and working knowledge of current applicable legislation.  Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation is an asset.

 

Salary range: $59,293 – $66,719 ($32.58 – $36.66 per hour) plus a competitive benefits and pension package.
