PROFESSIONAL PAINTER/HARDWOOD FLOOR REFINISHER
Job Gym is currently assisting Chip Painting to recruit a Professional Painter/Hardwood Floor Refinisher. Chip Painting specializes in interior and exterior painting in residential settings. They are based out of Thorold but service the entire Niagara Region.
This is a full time position. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm. Wage will be negotiated starting at $15-$19 per hour, based on experience. Work sites will vary throughout Niagara.
Requirements
Ø Must have own vehicle, valid drivers licence and adequate vehicle insurance
Ø Must have a working cell phone that can be used during business hours for regular communication with employer
Ø Previous relevant experience is an asset but not mandatory
Ø Working at Heights certification is an asset but not mandatory
Responsibilities
Ø Sand, stain and seal hardwood floors using machines, hand scraping and hand sanding.
Ø Prep surfaces using filler, putty and drywall compound. Sand smooth to blend.
Ø Apply paint or other materials, using brushes, rollers or spray equipment
Ø Follow detailed work order provided, reporting any discrepancies or changes.
