9Registered Early Childhood Educator

Full Day Preschool Program, Niagara Falls – Durdan/Loretto

Starting Rate:  $19.85 (WEG included) and full YMCA benefits

Start Date:  immediately

Full Time, 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), & proof of membership in good standing with the College of ECEs
  • Previous Child Care experience
  • YMCA Playing to Learn training is an asset
  • Food Handlers Certification is an asset
  • Immunizations as required by Public Health
  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification
  • A clear Criminal Reference Check – Vulnerable Sector Search will be required upon hiring

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the care and safety of the children
  • Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum and in alignment with “How Does Learning Happen?”
  • Be responsible for the physical condition of the child care facility
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with parents, children, school community and fellow YMCA staff
  • Represent the YMCA in a positive and professional manner
  • Participate in training sessions when required, occasional evening and weekend trainings/meetings, attendance will be mandatory
  • Work in compliance with the Ministry of Education licensing standards and guidelines
  • Adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara
