Full-time Salary (one year contract) – $41,600 + a 5% commission on sales

HALCO Portables is a growing manufacturing and waste management company, serving the Niagara Region and parts of Southern Ontario. We have over 30 years of innovation and service to the Niagara Region and we are looking to expand our growth into the Hamilton region. In addition to providing excellent service to construction and special event clientele, we also proudly manufacture some of the best portable restroom solutions from our 10,000 ft 2 facility in Welland, ON.

Currently, HALCO is looking for an External Sales Representative in the Hamilton Region to join our team. This highly motivated, outgoing and confident individual would be responsible for acquiring new business to Halco Portables. This is a work from home position with a weekly update meeting in the office at 42 Clark Street in Welland. A cell phone and computer will be provided. Mileage will be paid weekly for the use of the External Sales Representative’s personal vehicle at the going rate of $0.68 / km.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Contact event coordinators for events happening in and around the Hamilton region.
  • Contact Farms in and around the Hamilton region.
  • Contact Wineries in and around the Hamilton region.
  • Set up face-to face meetings or communicate virtually with the client. An expense for entertaining clients will be provided.
  • Sell rental agreements of plastic and self-contained units, which commission will be based upon, and responsible for weekly sales targets.
  • Look for opportunities with new and upcoming construction in the Hamilton region.
  • Responsible for site retention and periodic site visits.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Experience using Google Suites.
  • Construction knowledge is an asset.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Education:

  • Business or Marketing Diploma an asset
  • Minimum OSSD with at least 3-5 years in a related sales role.
