What You’ll Be Doing
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants
- Prepare soil, plant seeds and bulbs, and transplant seedlings
- Pot and re-pot plants
- Monitor plant health and identify issues related to pests, disease, or growth
- Spray and care for plants to prevent pests and disease
- Operate and adjust irrigation systems for proper watering
- Dig, cut, and prepare plants for sale
- Assist customers with basic gardening advice and product information
- Operate equipment such as tractors (if applicable)
- Maintain inventory and keep work areas clean and organized
What We’re Looking For
- No degree, diploma, or previous experience required — training provided
- Must have reliable transportation (no public transit available)
- Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
Work Environment
This role involves both indoor greenhouse and outdoor nursery work. Expect a physically active job that keeps you moving throughout the day in a team-oriented environment.
