About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients. The Custodian will be responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and ensuring that all areas meet our high standards of hygiene and safety. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities through excellent cleaning and maintenance practices. We are looking for:
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial work; commercial cleaning experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures and basic repair skills.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and upkeep of all areas.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or floor scrubbers safely and effectively.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment that supports the productivity and well-being of everyone within our facilities.
Duties:
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Conduct commercial cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures to uphold facility standards.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, reporting repairs needed, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
• Follow safety protocols during cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Restock supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, soap dispensers, and other consumables as needed.
• Ensure all cleaning tools and equipment are properly stored after use and maintained regularly for optimal performance.
