Thorold Automotive Solutions is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Inventory Clerk, both inside and outside the facility, is a pivotal part of ensuring efficient inventory management. The incumbent will report directly to the Shop Supervisor and undertake responsibilities related to inventory control, documentation, stocking, quality control, and supporting the overall operational efficiency within the establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Reporting: Provide daily reports to the Shop Supervisor, addressing any unresolved issues from the previous day and receiving new instructions or
guidelines. - Tag Verification: Scrutinize all tags on parts, ensuring accurate and proper marking for sides (L or R). No parts are to be stocked without appropriate
documentation, including tagging or marking. - Stocking Process: Efficiently stock all parts generated from the disassembly process after they have passed through the quality control stage. Record the precise stock location of each part during the stocking process.
- Documentation: Return stock information for entry into the computer system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inventory movements.
- Damage Reporting: Promptly report any damage discovered on parts to the supervisor before stocking. This facilitates reassessment for potential repair or
coring, ensuring inventory accuracy. - Restocking Returned Parts: Adhere to proper procedures while restocking returned parts, following the tagging, documentation, and quality control
protocols. - Vehicle Maintenance: Responsible for maintaining the company yard vehicle in optimal working condition, ensuring its readiness for operational use.
- Part Retrieval: May be required to pull stock for both shipping of parts and for customers waiting. In both cases, parts must be brought to quality control for a final check before release.
- Additional Duties: Willingness to undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the operational needs of the facility.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in inventory control or similar roles is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify and document inventory.
- Proficiency in computer systems for data entry and inventory tracking purposes.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate within a team environment.
- Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and movement within a warehouse environment.
Work Environment:
- The role involves working both indoors and outdoors within a warehouse or yard setting. The position may require exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands associated with inventory handling.
