Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and facilities maintenance, with an emphasis on high standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct commercial cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and office spaces to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly while adhering to recycling guidelines.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Light yard work such as watering flowers, shovelling etc
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
