Fort Erie Radio is looking for a Senior Account Executive, Strategic Partnerships to drive the sale of high-value annual sponsorship packages to regional and provincial brands.
This is not a traditional media sales role.
We are Fort Erie’s only daily, comprehensive local news source and a 24/7 digital radio station, delivering original journalism, rock, and local talk to a highly engaged audience across Greater Fort Erie. Our platform reaches tens of thousands of listeners and readers each month through our website, radio stream, and digital channels.
This role is focused on selling annual partnership packages that integrate brands directly into our news and broadcast platform through daily exposure, co-branding, and long-term alignment.
The ideal candidate is a self-directed, well-connected sales professional with existing relationships across Niagara and Southern Ontario, capable of opening doors and closing high-value deals without reliance on inbound leads.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with regional, corporate, and provincial decision-makers
- Sell and position Fort Erie Radio’s annual sponsorship packages as strategic brand partnerships—not transactional ad buys
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, marketing directors, and business owners
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings to present partnership opportunities and negotiate agreements
- Develop tailored proposals that align client objectives with Fort Erie Radio’s platform and audience
- Manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities and consistently move deals toward close
- Represent the brand professionally in the community and at meetings across Niagara and surrounding regions
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure successful onboarding and execution of sold partnerships
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably involving high-value or long-cycle deals
- Existing relationships with decision-makers in Niagara and surrounding markets (this is critical)
- Strong ability to prospect, open doors, and close business independently
- Comfortable selling annual commitments
- Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven
- Ability to work remotely and manage your own schedule effectively
- Professional presence and ability to represent a media brand in the market
Compensation & Structure:
- Earn 30% commission on all sponsorship packages sold (approx. $9,000 per deal)
- Realistic first-year earnings: $90,000–$180,000+, based on performance
- No cap on earnings
Additional Requirements:
- Full-time commitment
- Must have own vehicle, insurance, laptop, and mobile phone
- Willingness to travel within Niagara and surrounding regions for meetings
