Job Description

POSITION:                   COOK – PART-TIME

 

HOURS OF WORK:   The normal hours of work are not less than sixteen (16) as scheduled in each pay period.  Hours of work include one hour unpaid lunch period. Shift: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Secondary school graduate or equivalent, additional training in Dietary services or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate and recent WHMIS training.
  • Must possess knowledge of current health standards and regulations as per current Public Health Department Guidelines
  • Previous experience in meal preparation for large groups.
  • Ability to prepare meals with consideration given to special diets and diet restrictions.
  • Proven consistency in work performance, work habits such as reliability, dependability and punctuality.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills including the ability to work effectively with all team members.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and inventory of supplies.
