Director of Food & Beverage
WinstonBrock Recruitment is currently seeking Director of Food and Beverage resort property located in Niagara-Falls, Ontario.
The Director of Food and Beverage will lead all aspects of the resorts food and beverage operations including two restaurants, a banquet/conference center, and a hotel. With expansion currently underway, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a large tourist destination in Niagara-Falls as it continues to expand its on-site offerings.
Wage: $80 K, commensurate on experience + tip pool + health benefits
Shifts: Flexible schedule including Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
Duration: Full-Time/ Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Lead along with the senior management team to assist in overall business objectives including optimizing sales opportunities and leading new ideas and strategies
- Oversee Banquet Event Orders and communicate all necessary details with departments involved
- Support culinary teams with menu engineering and offering strategies for functions and events
- Hands on budget creation, marketing strategies, price lists, and rate structures, reconciling end of day/week wide financial reports, cash deposits and payroll
- Oversees scheduling, and ensures labour and budgets are meeting targets
- Oversees ordering and reconciliation of beverage inventory
- Hands on for pre-shift meetings for functions, overseeing menu and operational details for service flow
- Available to meet with clients for weddings and conferences, offering tours and communicating with guests throughout their stay.
- Responds in a positive and constructive manner to all internal and external guest requests, feedback and complaints
Qualifications:
- Multi-unit Hotel & Restaurant experience with 6-9 years in a management role
- Experience managing a multi-departmental budget
- Strong core knowledge of restaurant financial information and performance indicators
- Experience participating in a management team and directing overall business operations
- Proven team building skills that promote a healthy work culture where retention is stable and staff are provided with growth paths
- Ability to delegate and empower managers and supervisors
- High energy, passionate about food quality and superior customer care
- Must be able to work varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
