Full-Time Food Production/Packaging (4 Positions)
Job Description
Our Niagara-on-the-Lake food production client is in need of workers. Position can potentially start part-time with 1-2 scheduled shifts per weeks, on-call as needed, or full-time with 5-6 shifts weekly, dependent on client’s needs at the time of job offer. Must be available for rotating shifts (days, afternoons and nights) Monday-Friday. Position pays $15.00/hr to start with shift premiums. Own transportation is preferred, but may be able to arrange carpooling from St. Catharines. Opportunity for full-time hire is high with this client.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Working on a fast-paced food production line
- Packing finished product into packaging
- Monitoring product for quality, food safety, customer and client standards
- Stacking product onto pallets
- Assisting with clean up of the facility
- Performing other duties as specified by the supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 16+ years of age
- Ability to work in a cool environment
- Have good attention to detail
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Reliable, energetic & hardworking with a positive attitude
- Personal protective equipment including steel-toed safety footwear, smock, gloves, hair and/or beard net, and face mask, is required at all times.
- Knowledge of GMP & HACCP Food Safety is an asset, but not required
** NOTE ** This facility is a food manufacturing facility. Nuts or nut products, perfumes/body sprays or other heavy scented products, cell phones, jewellery and loose clothing are not permitted in the production area.
** COVID-19 considerations ** To keep workers as safe as possible, there is a mandatory temperature check daily before each shift. Sign-in is mandatory and everyone who does not pass will have to quarantine and provide negative Covid-19 test results before returning to work.
