$28-$32 an hour – Full-time

Full Job Description
This position is a great fit for the operator with experience in excavating. Your main focus will be on excavating and installation including machine operation, manual labour, and site servicing, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Excavate basements, new septic systems, and underground utilities in close proximity of houses and other structures and utilities with care and precision
  • Operate a variety of machines including skid steers, excavators, backhoes, and bulldozers
  • Install septic systems, piping, and other manual labour per project, including hand digging close to utilities, service sites as needed
  • Perform daily circle checks of machinery and report defects and needed repairs
  • Use of hand and power tools, as needed
  • Ensure that yourself and others on site are following plans and executing work in a safe and efficient manner, as needed

What We Offer

  • Wage is based on experience, qualifications, and performance, starting at $28.00-$32.00 an hour based, with opportunity to increase

Schedule

  • Daytime only, Monday-Friday, some Saturdays
  • Steady work, year-round

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience excavating
  • 3+ years experience operating all of: skid steers, excavators, backhoes, and bulldozers
  • A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work as a team leader and independently
  • Able to work long hours in various weather conditions, year-round
  • Punctual and Reliable
