Temporary Industrial Renovation Labourer (1 Position)

Job Description

$16.00 / hr | Full-time | Industrial Building | Welland, ON

Our client is in search of a group of strong, hard-working individuals to assist skilled labourers in a building renovation project. Some experience in renovation labour such as sanding, painting, assisting with drywall installation, site cleanup and general use of power tools is recommended. This position requires that candidates be physically fit and comfortable on their feet all day, reaching, turning, bending and lifting. This is an industrial environment and may require a considerable amount of walking. Attention to detail, ability to follow instruction, a willingness to learn and work as a team player are very important traits.

Own reliable transportation to Welland, ON is required.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Assisting building contractors with various tasks such as sanding, painting, lifting, loading and unloading supplies, etc.
  • Assisting skilled labourers with their tasks, suck as drywall installation, cabinet installation, etc.
  • Using general power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, etc to complete tasks as instructed.
  • Keeping work areas clean and promptly removing debris.
  • Follow safe work procedures and practices.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Ability to work in a loud/dusty environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Have good attention to detail and a desire for quality work
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Willing to work as a team player and support staff where needed
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be reliable, energetic & hardworking with a positive attitude
  • CSA-approved steel toe work shoes or boots (green patch) mandatory
