(Full-time 40 hour/week)

Summary
The Logistics Broker will act as a liaison between customers and carriers and will be responsible for securing new accounts, expediting the sharing of information and documentation between customers and carriers and communicate with dispatchers and drivers to track the status of loads
The selected candidate will be required to be familiar with agriculture and farming and being bilingual in both French and English would be considered a strong asset. They also must be open and willing to learn the all aspects of this position during the extensive training program. As a Logistics Broker, the individual will require exceptional communication and customer service skills and have a drive to provide excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Generate leads and attract new prospects
- Identify and select reputable and safe carriers
- Provide customers with shipping quotes
- Book orders with carriers and provide them with information to prepare for the load
- Track the status of loads and update any information to the customers
- Collaborate with shippers, carriers and dispatchers to manage scheduled collections and drop-offs
- Update and maintain all records and maintain a current knowledge of market trends in transportation
Skills and Qualifications
- Bilingual in both French and English would be considered a strong asset
- Be familiar with farming and agriculture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding people skills with the ability to negotiate
- Ability to problem solve and ensure solutions in a timely manner
- Must be open and willing to learn
