Full-Time Manufacturing Job Fair – Millwrights, Electricians, General Labourers

Job Description

We are hiring at least 8 Millwrights, 2 Electricians and 2 General Labourers. We are a world leader in Steel Abrasives with over 10000 clients in over 120 Countries and are expanding our Welland Operations.

Millwright

In this role you will work safely and efficiently to maintain all mechanical systems within the plant and provide assistance to the electrical technicians with repairs of electrical systems when required. You will work in a team-oriented environment maintaining the maintenance and production systems within the plant. You will assist other Maintenance Technicians and production employees on corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance issues for the facility. You will bring extensive problem solving and troubleshooting skills to thoroughly assess equipment and to perform the required operational and safety inspections of the equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able lift fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to work scheduled shift including weekends and overtime when necessary
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, and traverse the grounds
  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks on a daily basis
  • Must have vision at or corrected to 20/40
  • Must be able to wear the required PPE, including masks

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
  • Journeyman’s Millwright license as per Regulation 43 of the Apprenticeship and Tradesman’s Qualification Act
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts on the “Continental” Rotating shift schedule

Electrician

In this role you will work safely and efficiently to reduce costs and improve productivity, assisting the operators and other employees as necessary to ensure equipment runs safely and reliably. You will work in a team-oriented environment maintaining the electrical systems within the plant and providing assistance to the mechanical technicians with repairs of mechanical systems when required. You will bring extensive problem solving and troubleshooting skills to thoroughly assess equipment and to perform the required operational and safety inspections of the equipment.

  • Journeyman’s Electrician license as per Regulation 718/86 of the Apprenticeship and Tradesman’s Qualification Act
