Job Description

Title: Food Processing Poultry

Terms of Employment:Full Time and Part Time positions available

Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm/5:00pm

Competitive Wages:Ranges from $16.73/hour to $19.00/hour with experience.

**Weekly Pay**

Anticipated Start Date:As soon as possible

Location:Port Colborne

Transportation: Must have own transportation

Languages:Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting:Poultry processing and packing plant

Type of Equipment:Knives, Saws, Power/air cutting tools

Duties:

  • Select and load chicken product to boxes
  • Sort and inspect product for quality
  • Package, wrap and label product to meet customer specifications
  • Preform other line duties as assigned

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Physically demanding, fast-paced and repetitive
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Standing for long periods
  • Cut/Packaging department is refrigerated
  • Noisy and odors
  • Slaughterhouse, chicken processing, and packing establishment

Essential Skills:

  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Preform physical, repetitive job duties
  • Commitment to safety and quality processes
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstration of hand-eye coordination
  • Basic English communication skills (verbal and written)
