Full-Time Property and Building Manager (1 Position)

Job Description

Job Gym is supporting a well-established Fort Erie based business, to recruit candidates for a Property and Building Manager opportunity.  This is a full time, permanent position, offering a lucrative compensation package.

 

About the Role

The Property and Building Manager will plan, organize, direct and evaluate the operations of this commercial and recreational facility. This will include managing the maintenance department and coordinating skilled trade subcontractors.  This is a working manager role that will include hands on tasks.

 

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Directing the maintenance and repair of the establishment’s machinery, equipment, grounds, electrical and mechanical systems using internal staff or subcontractors
  • Implement and monitor schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs
  • Co-ordinate cleaning, snow removal and landscaping operations
  • Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services
  • Adhering and reporting to the facility’s maintenance budget
  • Hiring, training, coaching and supervising staff in a union environment

 

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of trades in HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical; Certified Journeyperson is preferred
  • Mechanically skilled
  • Turf and track credentials or experience is preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Physically fit to perform demanding tasks
  • Valid drivers licence with good standing driving record
  • Completion of a criminal record check

  • Assertive; proficient in delegating and coordinating
  • Adept at enforcing and following procedures
  • Organized, detail oriented and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Analytical; effective in identifying challenges and solutions
