Market Therapy Group is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated PSWs who are passionate about providing high-quality community-based support to individuals with complex rehabilitation and personal care needs.
Requirements:
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized program
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a PSW
- Experience supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is considered a strong asset
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence required (community-based role)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, compassionate, and professional attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance including hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, and shower routines
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with care plans
- Support clients within the home environment, including laundry, bed making, light housekeeping, and meal preparation as required
- Promote client independence, dignity, and community participation
- Complete daily documentation and report client progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the clinical team
- Follow established care plans, safety protocols, and rehabilitation strategies
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, therapists, and team members
- Travel to client homes and community settings as required
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and client-centered approach at all time
