What’s all the buzz about Buzzwords? A buzzword is a popular word or phrase used to impress others. These words are often used on resumes to draw in employers. A CareerBuilder survey found that strong action words are more valuable than subjective words. Creating a clearer message for employers paints a much better picture on your resume. Much the same way as a suit looks more professional that a flashy outfit. Your words have that same affect. For example, it is more meaningful to say you achieved X by doing Y, rather than simply stating you’re hardworking. Strong actions words demonstrate your abilities without employers having to guess what your strengths are.
